Small Animal Boarding T&Cs
- All rabbits boarding with me must be fully vaccinated and had their vaccine at least 3 weeks prior to staying. This is to protect not only your rabbit but other guests and my own rabbits. If you need help and advice on what vaccines your rabbit/s need please don't hesitate to get in contact with me.
-If your animal becomes poorly whilst staying with me, I will try to contact you. By boarding your animal/s with me you agree that if you are uncontactable I will take necessary actions to ensure your pets needs are met by taking them to the vets.. It may be possible for me to use your own vets but if this isnt possible your animal will be taken to an appropriate veterinary clinic. You will be liable for these costs and payment will be required when collecting your pet.
- Although unlikely, in the unfortunate circumstances that your pet passes away while staying with me I will contact you and take them either to a veterinary clinic or local crematorium depending on your preference. By boarding your animal/s with me you agree that your animal is left at entirely your own risk and I can not accept liability for this.
- I am happy to board animals that have extra behavioral or health needs, Please be honest about the care they require so I can cater to their needs.
- If you do not return to collect your pet on the date agreed and we are not able to contact you. You will have 7 days to contact us. If you fail to do so, you surrender your rights to ownership of your pet and ownership will be transferred over to the appropriate rescue centre.
- Prices can be found on my services page, you will be invoiced towards the end of your pets stay and payment is due on collection.
- If you need to cancel your boarding booking please contact me at the earliest possible moment so that I can offer your dates to someone else who might need them.
- While your pet stays with me I am able to offer Science Selective/ Burgess Excel pellets, a range of good quality hay, forages and fresh foods. If your pet is fed differently please bring along their normal diet to keep it consistent. All animals will be provided with fresh bowls of water.
- You are more than welcome to bring along your pets belongings. Ie hides, toys, special blankets. If you feel like they would benefit from something familiar. All enclosures will have litter trays, water bowls, forage/enrichment areas, hides and sleep areas etc.
- All accommodations are thoroughly cleaned using vet grade disinfectants and your animals will be kept separately from other guests and residents.
- IMPORTANT:
Please be aware that all drop offs and collections are made at my front door so this does mean you will not be able to come in and settle your pet/s in. I completely understand that some owners will want to do this and so if you don't feel comfortable please refrain from booking and head over to Bristol Rabbit Rescue as they also offer an amazing boarding service. I want all my clients and their pets to have the best experience whilst staying with me, so I want you to know what you can expect and to be completely transparent. I do understand how hard it is to leave your pet, especially somewhere new so I am happy to take pictures/videos and send these to you prior to their arrival to ensure you are happy and if there is anything else you require. When they arrive I will take pictures and videos so you can see how they are settling in, or if you would prefer a video call. You will receive regular photo/video updates for the duration of their stay.
When I started Twitch&Tails we were still in the midst of the pandemic so door step drop offs were necessary, however as the world got back to normal I realised how well it worked from both a business and personal point of view. I am not a huge company and take care of other people pets from my small victorian terrace home and to get to both my outdoor and indoor set ups people have to come through nearly every room in my home which affects both my own pets, other boarders and my partner who also works from home. Door step drop offs also make for more timely appointments as although I spend the majority of my time at home looking after my boarders I also offer walks and visits for those animals who haven't got their humans at home so I like to make sure I am on time for them and to make sure my boarders are well settled.
